About

KennyI became a Christian early in life.  I was 7 years old when God called me out.  As I grew in my relationship with Christ I can recall my High school years being some of the most formative Spiritually.  I led the Christian student union at my school and spoke every Thursday.  At 17 I walked the aisle and dedicated my life to the ministry.  While I did not know what that meant at that moment I knew God was calling me to serve.  At 18 I boarded a ship headed to Tarshish.  That journey would take me through some trying times, and 10 years later I would find myself in the Marines.  At the end of my service agreement, God “gently” reminded me that I had made a commitment and that I should follow through with it.  So I got out of the Corps and headed back home where I began to reacquaint myself with my first love.

I enrolled back into college and began the journey again but this time with passion and drive.  I moved to Spain in the summer of  ’97 to work at a Baptist church camp.  I ended up staying for a year and going to school there.  While I was there I met some missionaries who had a profound impact on my life.  God was using them to show me what a life dedicated to ministry would look like.  From there I finished college at E.T.B.U. and moved to seminary.  I graduated from S.W.B.T.S. in ’03 and moved to Tulsa where I took a position as the minister of Evangelism.  There I met my wife and began the paper work to become a missionary with the IMB.

The journey was long but God has taught me and matured me so that at this moment in time I may be used for His glory.  I love to hunt, fish, camp, play just about evey sport, anything outside, hike, swim, social events, travel etc..  But most of all I LOVE to tell people about Jesus Christ.  I will use the things that I like to do and that with which God has blessed me to establish relationships with the people of Luangwa so that I may share Christ with them.  My one specific goal is to share Christ.  I am burdened for peoples salvation and compelled to share with everyone I meet.

    Kenny,
Your Mom shared your web site…….
I remember the young boy who loved to play in ditches…… go into the woods … and who was not afraid of snakes. I remember the young boy who grew into a young man with a strong handshake – would look you in the eye – and always give hugs.
In reading your “about” page – it is a mirror of how our God works in our lives to bring us where he wants us to be………
You definitely have a beautiful wife and son – hope to meet them one day.
